Art Reveal: Jason Hornung

The Wolf River Art League (WRAL) is proud to partner with Mosquito Hill Nature Center in the forming of a Revolving Art Gallery.  Our first display, beginning November 2023, contained the work of many talented members of the League. Every three months, the long hallway leading to the Great Room will showcase a new art display that features a different member of the WRAL.

Beginning March 9, we will spotlight Jason Hornung, a versatile and creative artist who joined the League in 2018. In recent years, Jason has taken home the People’s Choice Award and blue ribbons in the WRAL’s Midwinter Art Show, as well as the People’s Choice in a recent Waupaca Show, and First and Second places in the Marshfield Central States Fair! His passion is wildlife, which he says gives him needed peace and calmness. Jason mixes up his style with some industrial paintings, sketches with colored pencils, oil painting and Gouache, or working with opaque watercolors.

When Jason is not painting, he can be found at Creative Converting of Clintonville. Here he designs and engineers the building of units for displaying paper plates and napkins that are manufactured at Creative Converting. His job involves travel between several locations from Oshkosh, Wisconsin to Sparks, Nevada and several other Creative Converting locations.
